What Inspired For Yoga is
Inspired For Yoga is a practical guide for people who want to do yoga at home and don't know where to start, or who started once and drifted off. Each page tries to answer one question: what should I do on my mat today?
We write for adults with ordinary bodies. That includes desk workers with stiff shoulders, runners with tight hips, people with sore backs or poor sleep, and older adults who have never set foot in a class. You will find timed routines, a pose guide with plain cues, and short guides on breathing, rest, safety and building a habit.
The site is deliberately narrow. There are no product reviews, no history lessons and no spiritual teaching. The poses keep their English names, and the focus stays on what you do and what you should feel.
How routines are made
Each routine starts from a specific need, such as a desk break, a tight lower back or a calmer bedtime. We choose poses that suit that need, put them in an order that warms the body before asking more of it, and set times that work for a beginner.
Then we practice the routine ourselves, with a timer, several times. Anything that feels awkward, rushed or too hard for a first-timer gets changed. Every pose has an easier version in its cue or on the Props & Modifications page, and poses that need extra care carry a short warning.
When we update a page, we run through the routine again and check the cues against the current pose guide so the instructions stay consistent across the site.
Editorial standards
- Measured claims. We say what yoga can help with, carefully. We don't claim it cures conditions, detoxes the body or melts fat.
- Real sources. When we mention research, we describe it honestly and point to established public bodies such as the U.S. National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH). We don't invent statistics, studies or experts.
- No commercial influence. We don't accept payment, free products or sponsorship in exchange for coverage, and we don't run ads.
- Plain language. Cues use everyday words and concrete measures: breaths, seconds, where to look and what to feel.
- Corrections. When we get something wrong, we fix it promptly.

Corrections and feedback
If you find an error, an unclear cue or a broken link, please let us know through the contact page. Tell us which page it is on and what you noticed. We check every report, and when it holds up we correct the page.
We also welcome notes on routines that did or didn't work for you. That kind of feedback is how the instructions get clearer over time.
